MARSHALLTOWN TR ALDUS HAYES DEAD AT THE AGE OF 86 RITES TUESDAY
Aldus Hayes 86, of 408 North Center Street died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday at the Evengelical Hospital. He had been in failing health since 1955. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Avey Funeral Home with the Rev. W. P. LaRose in charge. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in LeGrand Iowa.
Born March 24, 1874 in LeGrand the son of David Hayes and Mary (Winterowd ) Hayes. He was married to Flora Adkins who died in Sept. 1909. His second marriage was to Mamie Hamilton in 1933 and she died in Sept., 1954. Mr Hayes worked for Lennox Industries Inc. for 20 years. He was a member of the Assembly Of God Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Ernest Brady , State Center; Mrs C.W. Reed, Whittier, Calif., and Mrs Earl Hitching, Nevada.
