Alex Spindler of Kansas City, Mo., died Saturday, April 23, 2005. Mr. Spindler, a great-uncle of Stuart Goldman of Emporia, was 84. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Spindler served in the Battle of the Bulge and received four Bronze Stars. He was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area and was retired from Kansas City Office Supply. He was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue and B'nai B'rith. The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave. Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
