Alexander "Alex" F Randolph

Obit - "Alexander F. Randolph, age 80, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1982 at Harris Community Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Albany, NY on Sept. 26, 1901, he was the son of Roswell and Lutheria Housel Randolph and a resident of the Eldred area for 51 years.

He was a retired merchant, having operated the Royal Scarlet Store in Eldred from 1936 to 1964. He was a member of the Eldred United Methodist Church and the Yulan Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Myers Randolph, at home; two brothers, George Randolph of Orange Lake, NY and Myron Randolph of Newburgh; three sisters, Mary Slater of Alton, MD, Jane VanLoon of White Sulphur Springs, and Blanche Wems of Montgomery, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10am in the Knight Funeral Home, Port Jervis, with the Rev. Sky Kershner officiating.

Burial will be in Montoza Cemetery in Eldred."
