Alexander Anderson

Alexander Anderson was just 16 years old when he went to fight in South Africa in the Boer War. In 1914-1918, he fought at the Battle of Gallipoli. He married Madge (who was from a town near Aberdeen) and lived in Langside in Glasgow.

He owned a Gas Station (Petrol) on a very strategic corner.

Had three daughters; Margaret the Eldest - graduated as a Nurse in Glasgow

Jean was a supervisor of Staff of 19 in the Glasgow Office of the British Rail Company.

Sheila became a Councillor of the town of Eaglesham. She was passionate about the Environment and one year was invited to the Queens' Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
