Alexander Tzvi Blum

Alexander was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He had registered in Cleveland, Ohio, for the WW-I military draft, and stated that he was born on May 15, 1880. The date was incorrect as Alex had arrived in Jerusalem in 1879 (recorded on the U.S. Consular list, Jerusalem). He listed his father as Asher Blum, 2516 Wade Road, Chicago, Illinois.

Alex Blum was a fruit peddler.

In 1919, Alex Blum, son of Asher Blum, married Rebecca Pivowar.

The 1930 Federal Census listed Alexander Blum, age 48, as a grocery merchant born in Ohio. Both his parents were recorded as having been born in Palestine. His wife Rebecca was 47. She was born in Russia. They had two sons, Harry, age 9, and Arthur, age 3.5.
