Went out to stay with Aunt Janet in Australia, but she had died by the time he
got there.
Came back to Stornoway, then left for Canada with a mate of his. Met Emily
there and married. Possibly stayed on Elmwood Avenue, Winnipeg (name from
Jean). Came back over to Stornoway when his brother Roderick was dying. Took
over the undertaking business from him.
Nickname was Splungy (dunno why).
