About Alexander Mayer

During the war Alexander was interned in a concentration camp in Belgium (Caserne Dossin, Malines-Mechelen). He was a shoemaker by profession, later a Merchant. He was stateless at the time he was in the camp. Alexander was deported from this camp on 4 April 1944 to Auschwitz (Transport XXIV from Malines, (Caserne Dossin) Belgium to Auschwitz Birkenau Extermination Camp, Poland. His prisoner number in the transport was 180. He was transported with his wife Margarethe Mayer and daughter Lola Edith Mayer.
