Listed on Civil War Monument in Angola, IN in Misc. Reg.
[Rummel Family History, George Fee] Alexander enlisted in 65 Co. 1 New York Vol. Alexander took part in the Peninsular Campaign. He was wounded and taken prisoner at Malver Hill, 2, July, 1862, and was confined in Libby Prison at Richmond, VA. He was released after three weeks and sent home. But he did not return home, he h\joined his old Company. He served his three years in the 65th and reenlisted in Co. T. 22nd Venterns Reserve Corps. During his later years he suffered much from his wounded hip and had been quite lame. [RUMMEL Jacob edited for merge.ged]
