About Alexander S. Wilson
First wife: M.A. ~ 1805-1843. One known child from this union - Henry C. Wilson who drowned in 1848 at age 12. Second wife: Hannah Gibbons. Four children - James G., William A., Robert J. and George W. born 1854. Hannah is buried next to Alexander but had no stone (one added by gr gr grand daughter Rita Wilson Ogron). Major Wilson had a grist mill, saw mill, tavern and post office at what became known as Wilson Mills. The place name remains but the tavern and mills are long gone.History books, obits & family lore refer to 'Major Wilson' but little is known of his military career except he may have served in the NY Militia.
