<p>Alfhild and Paul met in Bodo, Norway when they both worked at the Bodo State Hospital. On September 15, 1923, Paul and Alfhild (Jacobson) and daughter Christine moved to USA, and settled near Milnor ND. Alfhild?s sister and husband lived and farmed in the area. Paul and Alfhild farmed for a few years in the Milnor and Gwinner, ND before Paul took a job maintaining the State Highways around Wyndmere, ND. Alfhild became sick with diabetes, and doctored in Wahpeton, Minneapolis and Fargo, before dying on February 19, 1932.</p><p> </p><p>Hi there!</p><p>I am Roald Madsen of Trondheim, Norway. I am presently trying to do some genealogy ?research? on my family ? including those who went to the US and Canada. Thus I wonder if you are a decendent of Paul Lekang and his wife AlfhildMathilde Katinka Thuv born on 8th April 1895 at Tuv (Bodo, Norway)? One of the Thuv sisters and her husbond setteled in central Canada, but later moved to Vancouver, BC. No. 2 sister and her husbond settled in Minnesota, but later moved to Seattle, WA. I think I have the necessary info on these two families up to this day. However, No. 3 sister, Alfhild, seems to have disappeared completely.I can find many Lekang?s in MN, and even a Paul Lekang of 72 years in Wahpeton, ND . It is possible that the ?original? Paul Lekang died in ND (according to the official death records). But what became of Alfhild? If you are one of my US relatives please let me know by return of mail.
