Mariyn K. Riehl reports that Alfred Hatfield once owned the land where Hopewell Cemetery (Tunas, Dallas County) is today. He sold the land to his son-in-law, Samuel Wheeler, who is buried there with his wife Hannah Frances (Hatfield) Wheeler (Alfred Hatfield's daughter) and extended family. The original cemetery there was known as the Hatfield Hopewell Cemetery.
