Today 30/01/2021 at 5:26 AM Dear Terry, I hope you don't mind me contacting you, for 20 years I was Alfs partner, and noticed you hadn't got that much information about him or his dates, as you see I have included them at the top. Apart from owning a sweet shop and tobacconist he was for most of his life a department store manager for the old Co Operative Stores, His wife Daisy was a secretary. During the war he was in the London Scottish Regiment and ended his time in the military as a Quartermaster Sergeant, in Lymington Hampshire and Netley near Southampton Hampshire and he spent time as a height and range finder on the ak ak guns on Clapham Common in south London, he was 90 when he died from acute Leukaemia, please don't add that to the page, I don't think Derek would like it, He was a lovely man everyone that met him fell instantly in love with him, he was easy to like and I miss him very much, I have since March 2019 researching my ancestry, thats how I came upon this site, I use geni a great deal. Hope this has been a help, are you in contact with Derek ? Do you have a site for other people on geni ? Take care and best wishes Linda
