About Alfred Abraham, Israel Landshut
Alfred, with his wife Erna and his sister Selma, fled on the "Ma'apilim" ship called Pentcho in 18.05.1940 from Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. The ship contained 509 people and designated to Netanya, Palestine. The ship got into some rocks near an isolated volcano island named Kamila Nisi (Chamili Nisida), Greece. After 10 days on the island, in 18-19.10.1940 Nisi they taken by the Italian Navy to arrest at Rhodes, Greece. Alfred died in Rhodes because of hunger in 1941, while the two sisters in law interned to Ferramonti Di Trezia Internment Camp in Italy, in January or March 1941. In June 1944 the "Pentcho group" released and left from Trento, Italy, on the ship Stefan Batory to Alexandria, Egypt, and from there to Palestina.
