About Alfred Traill Parker
DEATH OF MR C.S. PARKER'S BROTHER Much regret is being expressed over the death of Mr Alfred Trail Parker, brother of Mr C. S. Parker, ex M.P. for Perth, at his Liverpool residence, Beechwood, Aigburth last week. He had been shooting all day and had retired to rest in good spirits and health apparently, but next morning when called he was found dead in bed, the cause being hemorrhage of the brain. Beloved by all who knew him, he lived a life of active benevolence and punctual attendance to duty, and sorely will be missed by more than one of the Liverpool charities, as well as by many others outside his immediate circle. A sad incident in connection with his unexpected death was the departure of his eldest son as a volunteer for the front just a week before. His funeral was very large, being attended among others by the children of some of the schools to which he had been such firm friend. Much sympathy is felt for Mr C.S. Parker, between whom and his brother there was a very special affection and intimacy. Mr Alfred Parker having also a house at Fairlie quite near to that of his brother.
