MEMORIAL PHOTOS 1 FLOWERS 0 Mr. Ramsey Alf A. Ramsey, 87, Gadsden Rt. 4, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at White Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Lewis Haney and D.E. Hendrix officiating. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Survivors: sons, A.C. and Frank Ramsey, both of Gadsden, William Ramsey, Sardis; daughters, Mrs. Esther Gray, Mrs. Della Vaughn, Mrs. Margaret Gray and Mrs. Ann McCartney, all of Gadsden, Mrs. Melanie Dixon, Boaz, Mrs. Nancy Key, Guntersville; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Parry Ramsey, Mrs. Frankie Ramsey, Mrs. Maude Ramsey, Mrs. Esther Countryman, Mrs. Annie Bell Countryman and Mrs. Evelyn Crabtree; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Mr. Ramsey was a native of St. Clair County, and a long time resident of Etowah County. He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church, was a veteran of World War I and was a retired farmer. The body will remain at Collier-Butler Funeral Home and will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
