Services for Alfred S. Seiwald, 93, rural Eudora, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, the Revs. Frank Horvat and Patrick Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Seiwald died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born Dec. 31, 1895, in Eudora.
He was a retired farmer and stockman and had spent his entire life in the Eudora area. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was also a lifetime member of the Kansas Grange. He had formerly served on the board of directors of the Farmers' Elevator in Eudora.
He married Alma Schehrer on May 14, 1924, in Eudora. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Rosalene Kelly, Lawrence; three sisters, Mary Wilburn, Sterling, Colo., Josephine Miller, Eudora, and Clara Hartwick, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
