About Alice Alvina Rosie Draper
Alice Alvina Rosie Draper was born on 7 January 1885 whist the family were living on the farm The Grove, Modderpoort. On 8 February 1885 she was baptised at St Augustine in Modderpoort by Canon Henry Beckett shortly before his death.
On 6 January 1902 Alice died of measels and general tuberculosis in the Winburg concentration. Prior to entering the concentration camp she was a bywoner on the farm Doctor's Rust that borders the Vet River.
