          Alice E. Cameron, 82, longtime area resident

Alice Davidson Williams Cameron, 82, of 53 Butter Brook Hill, New Milford, died Friday at Candlewood Care Center after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Oscar Cameron.

Mrs. Cameron was born in Kent, March 31, 1908, a daughter of the late Asa and Phoebe Ett Davidson. She lived her entire life in the Kent and New Milford communities.

She is survived by three sons, James E. Williams and Donald G. Williams, both of Bridgewater, and Harry C. Williams of New Milford; four daughters, Doris Jager of New Milford, Betty Lucas of Port Clyde, Maine, Barbara Gunther of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Shirley C. Stowe of Woodbury; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted Tuesday at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.

Added 4-22-2022: The obituary above does not mention Alice's daughter, Joan Carol Thompson (1941-1982). Joan also used her stepfather's last name "Cameron" during her school years.
