Alice Fitzgerald (Rose Kessler’s sister) Aunt Alice passed away July 7, 1956. She was born in England June 1874 and came to this country at the age of ten. She was 82. She had been living in Evanston with her nephew Robert Kessler. She is survived by two sisters – Rose Kessler and Mrs Kate Yaffee (Aunt Kate) She was preceded in death by he husband James Fitzgerald and a daughter Doris.

Monday, July 9, 1956 -- Mrs. Alice Fitzgerald, 81, formerly of Oskaloosa, died Sunday evening in Chicago, Illinois. She had been making her home with a nephew, Robert Kessler of Evanston, Illinois. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Rose Kessler and Mrs. Kate Yaffee, both of Oskaloosa, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Newman funeral home at 1:30pm with Rev. M. Dwight Walker of the First Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
