About Alice Myrene Larrew
Funeral services were held for Alice M. Larrew, who died May 4, 2004, in Beaver at the age of 84.
Alice was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Filer, Idaho, to Walter and Alta (Snyder) Gingerich. She grew up and attended school in Portland, where she graduated from Franklin High School.
Alice worked a short time for a dry cleaning business before she married Loyd Larrew, June 30, 1949, in Canby. For the last 52 years, she had lived in Beaver, enjoying her family and friends.
Alice was talented at sewing, knitting and quilting. She was in a sewing circle and made bandages and quilts for orphans through the Blue Cross. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and cross-stitch, and loved sewing for others. Alice also canned many vegetables and fruits from her garden, and roses were among her favorite flowers.
Alice is survived by her two children, Wendell Larrew of Beaver and Cathy Ervin and her husband Kevin of Beaver; two brothers, Vernon Gingerich of Hubbard and Wayne Gingerich of Portland; two grandchildren, Melody Grimes and Annette Ortego; three great-grandchildren, Monique, Savannah and Saharah.
Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Emerald and Charles Christian Gingerich.
Interment will be at Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Waud's Funeral Home, Tillamook.
