Alice Laverne Patterson

Alice Patterson, age 100 of Bottineau, North Dakota, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Center, Bottineau, North Dakota.

Alice Patterson, a daughter of Amil and Elizabeth (Seufert) Anderson, was born on November 1, 1917 on the family farm near Souris, North Dakota.

She grew up there and attended country school. On July 29, 1936, she married Ernest Patterson. They made their home on the Patterson farm until moving into Souris in 1946. Ernest passed away on December 15, 1975. Alice lived in Souris, North Dakota until moving into Oak Manor in Bottineau, North Dakota in 2002. In 2013, she moved into the Good Samaritan Center in Bottineau, North Dakota, where she has resided since.

Alice was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Bottineau, North Dakota and then the United Parish. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Helen) Patterson of Souris, North Dakota; daughters, Patricia Vedquam of Minot, North Dakota and Carolyn Patterson of Bismarck, North Dakota.

And grandchildren, Douglas (Kris) Patterson of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Mark (Jennifer) Patterson of Bottineau, North Dakota; Lisa (Steve) Hoffer of Minot, North Dakota; Michael Vedquam of Minot, North Dakota; Cheri Pounds of Minot, North Dakota; Troy (Stacey) Ahmann of Bismarck, North Dakota; and LeAnn (Jason) Hartwig of Williston, North Dakota.

Also her great grandchildren, Kade, Camden Keagan, Patterson; Jessica (Jacob) Erdmann, Christopher Hoffer, Allison and Brandon Ahmann, Madison Cadotte and Carson, Quinton and Aidon Hartwig.

Alice one sis also survived by her sister, Madeline Foss.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mayme Peterson; son-in-law, Elroy Vedquam; and brothers-in-law, M.J. Foss and Soren Peterson.
