MRS. ALICE PECK PASSES ON
Alice Jane Hemenway was born in Ashtabula County, Ohio, September 11th, 1848. She married Phineas Sheridan Peck January 1st, 1866. To this union four children were born one dying in infancy. The others Emma Alice Larive, of Roscommon, Michigan; Frederick Sheridan, of Spokane, Wash., and Elwood Maxwell, of White Salmon. Mr. and Mrs. Peck lived in Roscommon, Mich. until 1900, when they came to White Salmon, Wash. where they resided until death called Mr. Peck April 29th, 1918. Since that time Mrs. Peck has made her home with her sons and daughter. She was a noble wife, loving mother and esteemed friend and neighbor. Those left to mourn her loss are Mrs. Emma Larive, of Roscommon, Mich.; Mr. Frederick Peck of Spokane, Wash.; Mr. Elwood Peck, of White Salmon, fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of loving friends and a true neighbors.
