Alice Scriven

On the subject of whom Alice Knowles married, it has occasionally come up that a Thomas Screven was her spouse. TtHOMAS SCRIVENS IS NOT HER SPOUSE.Thomas is probably a descendent of William Screven, originally from Somerton, England, then of Kittery, ME, and expelled from there by local relgious authorities, then traveled to South Carolina, where he established the town named after his England place of birth, Somerton, which is near modern day Georgetown.

There is also a Thomas Scriven listed in a Will Section of Ann Istead - Dated: 04/08/1713 Probed: 21/08/1713 [http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/26884509/person/1940815049/storyx/ed...]
