Alice was the daughter of Joseph H Clark and Jane Hodgson. She married Elmer Woody on April 5, 1900. They were the parents of Juanita, Cecil, and Evalyn.

March 29,1956 - Carroll Daily Times - Lake City — Funeral rites for Mrs. Elmer Woody, 76, were held Wednesday, March 28, at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Christian Church here. The Rev. Howard D. Prather officiated. Burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.

Alice Edna Clark, daughter of Joseph H and Jane Clark, was born at Streator, Illinois, June 26, 1879. The family moved to Lake City about 58 years ago. On April 5, 1900 she married Mr. Woody. They farmed near Lake City until 1944 when they moved to Des Moines, returning to Lake City in 1954. They were the parents of three children, Juanita, Cecil and Evalyn.

Mrs. Woody died at McCrary Rost Hospital, Lake City, Sunday, March 25. She was an active member of Woodlawn Christian Church and Star Rebekah Lodge No. 30.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Ethel (Mrs P.G. Gregg); two brothers, Will Clark and one who died in infancy.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer D Woody; one son Cecil Woody, Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs Wesley Hall, Des Moines and Mrs Richard Hucka Lake City; one brother, James Clark, Lake City; 5 sisters: Mrs Elizabeth Zook Des Moines; Mrs Jennie Woody and Mrs W.O. Acklin Rockwell City; Mrs Lud Oxenford Lytton; and Mrs Mary Acklin Lake City; 6 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; 17 nieces and nephews.
