ALLEN IVERSON JONES is the son of Bassel Jones and Margaret (Olliff) Jones. Iverson was born on August 12, 1865 in Georgia. On February 3, 1892, Iverson Jones married Jennie E. Parrish in Bulloch County, Georgia. Iverson and Jennie Jones were the parents of two sons, Carson Lee Jones, born November 13, 1892, and Edgar Sylvester Jones, born January 4, 1895, both born in Bulloch County, Georgia. U.S. Census records verify from 1900 to 1910, they lived in Bulloch County, Georgia. Allen Iverson Jones died on March 15, 1934.

Newspaper Obituary: "Allen iverson Jones, age 69, prominent Bulloch countian, died yesterday afternoon in his home six miles east of Statesboro. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Primitive Baptist church with Elder W.H. Crouse in charge of the services. The deceased is survived by his widow, two sons, E. S. Jones, of Savannah, and C. L. Jones, of Statesboro, and the following grandchildren, James Allen Jones, Virginia Jones. Carson Jones Jr. and Flaire (Klaire) Jones. |
