ALLEN JAMES SIVER
OLIN—Funeral services for Allen James Siver, 97, were held in the Morley E.UJB. church Monday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor, was in charge. The Rev, R. L. Roth, pastor of the Martelle Christian church assisted. Burial was In the White Oak cemetery. Mr. Siver was born July 24, 1866 at Schenectady, N. Y. to James Edward and Elizabeth Warner Siver. He died Jan. 10 at the Springville Rest home.
When he was 17 years of age, he and a brother, Henry, came to Mechanicsville, and worked on different farms in the vicinity for several years. On Feb. 26, 1891 he was married to Cora Etta Manly. They lived their entire married life in the White Oak neighborhood except for two years spent in Mount Vernon. Mr. and Mrs. Siver were members of the White Oak church for a number of years. Later they transferred their membership to the E.U.B. Church at Morley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Otis, John and Arthur, all of Olin; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
