About Allene M Calhoun
Allene Calhoun Longtime Manette resident Allene Calhoun, 89, died Nov. 11, 1998, at Lakehouse. She was born Jan. 6, 1909, in Tacoma to Albert and Mary Ellen (Swain) Marden. She was raised in Tacoma and the Alki area of Seattle, graduating from West Seattle High School in 1926. On Dec. 20, 1928, she married Dean Calhoun in Everett. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Calhoun was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters, Myra Ellen Brochner of Bremerton, Aladene Harney of Poulsbo and Ada Sue Calhoun of Centralia; a sister, Ada May Phinney of Bremerton; six grandchildren, Nanette Jones of Gig Harbor, Larry Brochner of Snohomish, Cheryl Helander of Poulsbo, Brad Garman of Bothell, Marcia Hawkins of Belfair and Jodie Triana; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack, and a brother, Jack Marden.
