Mrs. Alma Pearl Jackson, 43, of North Street, Vidalia, died in an Augusta hospital Friday morning of last week, following an extended illness. She was the widow of Willard Jackson.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Hardens Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenn McCranie and the Rev. James Young officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Marvin Cooper, W.S. Newman, Sam Hammock, Hill Beasley, and Doc Hobbs.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Pruitt, Mrs. Gloria Rogers, Miss Jeanette Jackson, Miss Barbara Ann Jackson, Miss Sabrina Jackson, all of Vidalia; two sons, Ray and Walter Jackson, Vidalia; mother, Mrs. Mellie Jones, Cobbtown; one sister, Mrs. Velma Collins, Cobbtown; two brothers, Orville Jones, Cobbtown and Davie Jones, Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
