Spouse of Robert Hevener Harper Mother of Gae Nell Harper Hickey

Mrs. Alpha M. Harper, 87, of Riverton, died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Harper was born May 1, 1899, at Oceola, and was the daughter of Henry Jackson and Sarah Jane (Bland) Burns. She was married to Robert H. Harper who preceded her in death in 1973. Her only child, Gae Nell Hickey, also preceded her in death in April 1978. Mrs. Harper is survived by a sister,Sadie Harper of Riverton; two Grandsons, George Douglas Hickey of Woodbridge, VA, and Steven Harper Hickey of the U.S. Army stationed in Norfolk, VA; and two Great-Grandchildren, Christine and Richard Hickey of Woodbridge. A funeral service will be conducted this morning at 11 o'clock in the chapel of Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin by the Rev. Harvey Vance, and burial will be in the Harper family cemetery at Riverton.
