About Alphonso Calhoun Avery, Jr.

He was educated at Trinity College; admitted to the bar in 1895. During the war with Spain, he served as 1st lieut. of Co. C, 2d North Carolina volunteers. He is a lawyer, in partnership with his father. He has twice been mayor of Morganton and is (1911) city attorney and county attorney. Residence, Morganton, N. C.
