Alta B Pratt

Dexter - Mrs. Alta B. Pratt, 87 years old, of Dexter, died Wednesday at the Dexter Memorial Hospital.
The former Miss Tyler was born in Bono, Ark., Feb. 22, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. William Tyler. Her husband, John E. Pratt, preceded her in death June 4, 1961.
She had lived in Dexter since 1974, and had formerly lived in Charleston. She was a member of the General Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Everett, Elmer and James Pratt; four daughters, Mrs. Jewell Belvin, Mrs. Carmeline England, Mrs. Eva Williams and Mrs. Laverne Lovett; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Powell and Mrs. Lucille Graves; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in East Prairie. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
