Alvin Neel Ordway, 66 of Sprongfield,Mo. passed away June 11, 1992 in Cox Medical Center South. Mr. Ordway, a retired builder superintendent, was born May 6, 1926 in Wellington KS. the son of Roy and Tempie Comefort Ordway. He was married on May 6, 1946 in Douglas, KS. to Kathleen E. Williams. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Fair Mo. the American Legion Post of Yuma AZ. and the Disabled American Veterans in Springfield. He enjoyed fishing and building wooden toys and crafts. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a son, Richard Ordway and wife Brenda, Crossville TN. : three sisters Catherine Whitacre,Augusta, KS., Dorothy Elliott, Silva,MO., and Betty Grammer, Brazoria TX.; two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Rebekah Ordway, Crossville TN.,;his mother-in-law, Alva Williams, Douglas KS. Burial with full military honors will be in Springfield National Cemetery.
