Alvin Otto Pennington, 41, Nashville, TN died Sunday at 6pm at Miller's Clinic in Nashville. He was a native of Colbert County, army veteran of WW11, member of Thomas G. Karg Post No. 4919, VFW, Sheffield; a member of American Legion Post No. 22 at Bessemer. He received the Purple Heart while serving overseas. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 4pm at Morrison-Elkins Chapel by Rev. Norman Deaton Burial will be in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery, Morrison-Elkins, Tuscumbia, directing.
