Mr. Alvin R. Rabhan, age 94, of Atlanta, died Oct. 17, 2001.
Mr. Rabhan was born in Savannah, Ga., and served in the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe during World War II. He was a manufacturer of furniture in High Point, N.C. for over 20 years, retired in Myrtle Beach, lived at Jewish Tower in Atlanta for the last seven years and was a member of Ahavath Achim Congregation.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Barbara Rabhan, of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jack Balser; a sister, Gladys Rabhan, all of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Rossmore Schwager, of Savannah; sister-in-law, Barbara Rabhan, of Kinston, N.C.; grandchildren, Mindy and Louis Kandel, Andy and Nancy Rabhan, Abby and Daniel Vines, David and Karen Balser, Heidi Fischgrund and Michael and Lara Balser; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at High Point Jewish Cemetery (B'nai Israel), High Point, N.C.
