Amanda "Mandie" Janse van Rensburg (1963 - 2014)

Mandie (51), a scrapyard and liquor store owner, was shot dead on her smallholding outside Kroondal, on 24th June 2014, when she was attacked by two armed males.

Sergeant Kealeboga Molale, police spokesman confirmed the shooting. "The woman was attacked by two armed men around 18:30 when she wanted to close her business premises," Molale said. "They found the woman near the counter and fatally wounded her. She died at the scene. Her attackers then went to an office where they robbed an employee of R1000 in cash."
