Many descendents of Ambrose Proctor moved to the Ohio and Kentucky area.

John LITTLE and Elizabeth [PROCTOR] were married about 1678 in Virginia.50 Elizabeth's first husband, Ambrose Procter, died in 1673. Francis Little was born about 1679. So she married John sometime in between.
The two sons of Ambrose and Elizabeth (John and William) were listed with John Little on the tithables list starting in 1684 for John and 1687 for William, which would have made them 6 and 3 when their father died.
In July 1694 (Surry Co. VA, Book V, pg 106), Jno. Little and his wife Eliza. are defendants in a suit by Edwd. Cockerill. Sept. 1694, Edward Cockerhill as marrying Eliza. Proctor did not present his account against John Little and Eliza. his wife, so were ordered to pay damage. (Book V, pg. 109). Edward Cockrill was listed on the tithables with John in 1688. He apparently was married to Elizabeth's daughter Elizabeth Procter and perhaps was suing for an estate issue.

Ambrose PROCTOR Jr. was born between 1637 and 1646 in Isle of Wight, VA. Guessing that Ambrose Jr. was born after his father arrived in Isle of Wight in 1637 and that he was about 22 when his second son was born. He signed a will on 27 Mar 1672 in Isle of Wight, VA.51 Ambrose left his "howse and Land and orchard, whereon I live, the said land to be for the use of my said sonne immediately, after / my decease, my Wifes, Widdowe hood, onely excepted" to his son Ambrose. He gave him a cow and calf immediately after his decease. He gave son John Proctor two cows and son William Proctor one cow. He also gave his godson, Charles Bickett, the first cos calf that "has fallen."

The will was witnessed by John Davis, George Bell, and John Crofts. He died about 9 Jan 1673.51 Ambrose's will was proven by John Davis and John Crofts in the Isle of Wight County Court 9 January 1672 (old style). An Ambrose Procter, likely the father of Ambrose, was brought into Isle of Wight by Nathaniel Floyd in 1637.
John PROCTOR was born about 1668. Assuming that he was 16 in 1684, the first year he was listed with John Little. He was living in Jun 1684 in Lawnes Creek Parish, Surry Co. VA.1208 Jno Proctor was listed with Jno Little starting in 1684 through 1687, implying he was between 16 and 21 during those years. I don't know why he was not listed with him for 5 or 6 years. He died about 9 Aug 1710 in Isle of Wight, VA.1209 He signed a will about Aug 1710 in Isle of Wight, VA.1209 John Procter bequeathed his stock and land to his wife Elizabeth during her widowhood. Then it was to be equally divided among his children, except he bequeathed one cow and calf to Edward Cockerell when he comes of age. He asked that his "brothr Robt Little to bear assistance to my wife in giving my Children to theire mothr." His will was witnessed by Thomas Moore, Thomas Manes, and Edward E. Cockerell and was proven on 9 Aug 1710 by Thomas Moore. Parents: Ambrose PROCTOR Jr. and Elizabeth [PROCTOR].
William PROCTOR was born about 1671. William must have been 16 to be listed for the first time with John in the tithable list. He was living between 1687 and 1691 in Lawnes Creek Parish, Surry Co. VA.1208 Jno Little's listing in the 1687 Lawne Creek Tithables included Jno Davis, Jno and Wm Proctor. The next year it was Jno Little, Edward Cockrill, Wm Procter and John Askew. In 1689 and 1690 it was just Jno Little and Wm Procter. In 1691 William was listed separately and just before John Little. He was apparently now 21 but probably came with John to sign the list since they were listed one after the other. Parents: Ambrose PROCTOR Jr. and Elizabeth [PROCTOR].
