About Ambrose Redfield
A Patriot of the American Revolution for CONNECTICUT with the rank of ENSIGN. DAR Ancestor # A094107
Ambrose Redfield, son of George Redfield and Trial Ward, was born Dec. 13, 1750 in Killingworth, Connecticut. He married on June 12, 1782, with LOIS BALDWIN, dau. of Capt. Caleb Baldwin and Jerusha Parmelee. She was born in Killingworth, Connecticut on Feb. 1, 1763. She died 1804; he died June 30, 1830. My account is from the Redfield Genealogy, which does not tell where they lived, but likely in New Hampshire, not far from Capt. Caleb.
Children were: Heman (1783), Charles (1785), Jane (1787), Caleb (1789), William (1792), Lucius (1795), Ambrose A. (1799), and Wyllis (1801).
Ambrose Redfield served as Corporal in Capt, Samuel Gale's Co., part of the 6th Regiment commanded by Col, Samuel Parsons; which served at the seige of Boston as part of Gen. Putnam's Brigade.
