About Amery (IV) de St Amand
Father died when he was 15 and he became a ward of King Edward III. At 17 went with King Edward III to Ireland to defend the King's lands. Became a 3rd Baron by 1335 and married Alianore (heir of the Earl of Hereford) He became a knight on Feb. 22, 1337 and went overseas in the King's service with the Earl of Salisbury. 1338-39 - served in Scotland and was designated the Commissioner of Array in Berks 1342, 1345, 1346, 1347 served in French wars 1355 and 57 he fought in Scottish Campaign with Sir Robert Herle and was named Lord of Gormanstown in Meath, Ireland July 1357- Feb. 1359 he served as Justiciar with 100 archers on horseback assigned to him. 1361-1381 Commissioner of the Peace at Berks Jan. 8,1371 - Aug. 22, 1381 served in Parliament Numerous other Commissioner and J.P. positions over the years
Stirnet gives the wife of Amauri (IV) St. Amand as Eleanor, and the wife of his son, Amaury (V), as Ida. But the IPM's for Amaury (V), dec. 1402, clearly show his wife as Eleanor, not Ida. (Steven Ferry, September 22, 2023)

In essence, although Stirnet has Isabel as a daughter of Amauri (IV), newer research shows that both she and Amauri ((IV) were children of John St Amand and Margaret Despenser, and that both of them were betrothed to siblings from the Haudlo line.
