• FamilySearch files for Greene County, Pennsylvania Cemeteries found Amos Anderson (cited as born circa 1775) listed as buried at McIsaac Farm in Greene County, Pennsylvania on 25 April 1838; this may have been an early name for the Shriver Cemetery. Greene County, Pennsylvania was carved out of Monongalia County in 1796.
• The Maryland Census of 1776, gives Amos' birth year as 1772 (he is age 4) and other census records concur but would conflict with his age on his gravestone, which appears to be an estimate. The census age calculation is used for him on this memorial.
