About Amos Merle Anderson
Services for Amos Merle Anderson, 66, of Homedale Route 1, who died early Wednesday morning at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel in Caldwell. The Rev. Willard Kennon of Homedale will officiate. Interment will be in the Knowlton Heights Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug 14, 1892, in Liberal, Kan., and was reared in Kansas. He married Druzella Ward, on May 2, 1908 at Liberal . The couple farmed there until 1935, when they came to Idaho and located at Homedale where he had since farmed.
Mrs. Anderson preceded him in death in September of 1935.
He married Lois Gaines, in Winnemucca, Nev., on Feb. 27, 1943.
He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church.
Survivors besides his wife, Mrs. Lois Anderson, Homedale; five sons, Russell of Othello, Wash., Leonard of Oakland, Calif., Leo of Parma, Cary and Bernard Anderson, both of Homedale; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Larson, Oakland, Ore., Mrs. Lois Brown, Goble, Ore., Mrs. Evelyn Speigel, Wilbur, Ore., and Mrs. Dorzene Packer of Homedale; a step-son, Harold Gaines of Homedale; a brother, Frank Anderson of Marsing; two half brothers, Leonard Rheuby of Homedale and Leslie Rheuby of Napa, Calif.; a half-sister, Mrs. Milla Dunn of Homedale; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
