Amos was believed to be a younger brother of ichabod, but when the death date of their father Daniel (1755), is taken into consideration that possiblity seems remote.

Amos and Elizabeth went to Ky. in 1800 and on to Missouri.

family tradition says sixteen members of his family died of cholera, including Amos and his wife Elizabeth.

Amos was on the tax lists for Monongalia co. wV form 1793 to 1801 (Decker creek is in the county)
