Son of Ebenezer Morrison and Anna Lyford of Sanbornton Bridge, NH. Amos was a blacksmith at the Bridge and then a train mechanic moving to Boscawen and then Concord NH in 1847. He married Martha Ann Woodman Morrison Aug 31, 1841. She was the daughter of John Pierce Morrison and Anna Page. The couple had five children, of whom was John Edward Morrison who died 1931, and Asenath J. Morrison who married George Goodhue and died 1921, both bur Blossom Hill in Concord. Amos died in Concord, a widower living on Essex Street there, and was buried in the Park Cem in Tilton (Louis Lane Undertaker). Martha died 1893.
