AMY DIANNE (TEAGUE) RAINEY

Amy Dianne Teague Rainey, 37, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 in Sweetwater.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at McCoy Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 23, 2010 at McCoy Chapel of Memories. A private graveside service will be held at the Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Freeman and Rev. Ward Hayes officiating.

Amy was a member of First Baptist Church of Trent and had attended Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater when she was young, and was very active with the youth activities there.

She was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and was on the yearbook staff. She received her Pharmacy Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Amy had worked for K-Mart, Maloney Pharmacy, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, Hendrick Medical Center, Staton Drug and most recently at Brookshire Pharmacy and Abilene Regional Medical Center Pharmacy.

She moved to Sweetwater from Marathon, Texas in 1986. Amy began and continued the Angel Tree program several years ago for children in Sweetwater, providing gifts for children served by the West Texas Children's Advocacy Center.

Amy is preceded in death by her mother Marylu (Ray) Teague on September 30, 1995, her father Alvis Cooksey Teague on February 20, 2005. Her husband James Elmer Rainey also died on December 20, 2010.

Survivors include a son and a daughter, Jacob and Marianne Rainey of Trent; a brother, Kirby Teague (and wife Stephanie) of Chesapeake, Virginia; a niece and nephew, Anna and Calvin Teague of Chesapeake, Virginia; two aunts, Ella Teague of Lampasas, Texas and Patsy Mayo (and husband Reggie) of Farmers Branch, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Cecile Ray of Katy, Texas; and several other aunts and uncles.

Memorials can be made to Children's Advocacy Center and/or Angel Tree Program.
