About Anah Ra'La al-Sayyida .
It is written -
After many years Abraham went to visit his son Ishmael.
Ishmael was not at home but Abraham found there his wife,
who was scolding her children and also refused to give the visitor any water.
Abraham left the following message with this wife to say to Ishmael upon his return:
"When thou comest home, put away this tent-pin which thou hast placed here, and place another tent-pin in its stead."
Ishmael understood the message and divorced that wife and married another.
When three years later Abraham again went to visit Ishmael, and again found him
not at home, he left the following message with Ishmael's second wife:
"The tent-pin which thou hast is very good, do not put it away from the tent."
See notes on Ishmael's first wife.
(Genesis 36:2) The sentance reads "Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Ada, daughter of Eilon the Hitite, and
Oholibamah daughter of Anah daughter of Zibeon the Hivite"; it is argued that "daughter of... daughter of..." is a work-around for the lack of an equivalent of grand-daughter, making Anah a SON of Zibeon, and Beeri his wife. - Bill Lanier
Genesis 36:24 ...this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
Genesis 36:25 And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
