About Andrew J. Blackman
BLACKMAN-Died on Thursday the 11th at the home in Beat 8, A.J.Blackman aged 71 years. Deceased had lived at the place where he died about 35 years. He was a member of the Baptist church in Leon. He left surviving one son Manning Blackman who lives in the Leon community, and four daughters, Mrs.Myers near Opp, Mrs. Wallace in Florida, Mrs John Blackman and Mrs.Niece with whom deceased lived when he died. His remains were interred the day following his death at the cemetery at Leon. (Crenshaw County News-March 18,1915)
