Henry Bourne B Abt 1719 Essex Co VA D 15/Oct/1787 Fayette Co KY WIFE Ann Morton b. Abt 1725 There is no will or probate record in Orange Co. VA for the settlement of Henry's estate. Kentucky tax records indicate that Henry came to Kentucky with his sons by 1790. He appears in the 1789 Tax Records for Fayette County but not thereafter. This suggests that he died about that time. Ed Baliff research in Virginia: "Ann Miller, of Orange County Historical Library, said that the Bournes bought or leased lands from the Spotswood Estate along the Rapidian River just west of the old Orange Co. Court House located on the south side of the Rapidian. The location is in the area of the intersection of County Road 522 and 636. County Road 636 was designated as th River Road and said it was the road the Bournes traveled 200 years ago." Henry appears in 1787 Orange Co. Va. Tax List along with James, John, Reuben, Thomas and William (alphabetical listing).
