Andrew Sifrit was a Revolutionary War veteran. He was in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, and wintered at Valley Forge. He was in the battles at Monmouth, Stony Point, and Paulus Hook and was taken prisoner at Charleston, SC. He was held prisoner for six months and exchanged in Jamestown, VA. He was present at the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. He was discharged in Richmond, VA in 1783.
