The following inscriptions are from the Providence Presbyterian churchyard, four miles south of Trappe, Montgomery County, Pa. beginning at the north end of the row:

"In memory of Robert Hamill, a merchant of the boroough of Norristown, who departed this life June 27th, 1838, in the 80th year of his age."

(There follows a statement of his relation to the Presbyterian Church, being an elder, and a flattering record of his christian character)

Died Dec. 27th, 1850 Isabella Todd Hamill, wife of Robert Hamill, daughter of Andrew and Hannah Todd, maternal grand-daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Bowyer, and great grand-daughter of John and Ann Edwards. These all died in Faith (&c.) Heb 11th and 13"v". Near to this on same slab are:
"Andrew Todd, died 1838, aged 81 years.
