Identical result is obtained from his Dec 1869 marriage cert to Julia Job gives his age as 39 and a place of birth as Cornwall but that latter place of birth seems unlikely.

While date and place of Edwards birth has not been located, the passenger manifest of the Maid of Erin on which Edward migrated to Geelong Vic in Oct 1852 gives his age as 22 and hence by calculation a year of birth as 1830.

No record of the birth or baptism of Elizabeth could be located and the first documentary evidence of her existence was the passenger manifest for the maid of Erin which left Hobart on 1st October1852 for Geelong. Her age is recorded as 21 giving her a calculated year of birth of 1832.

While no record of Ann Eliza's birth has been located to date, 1837 appears to be the year of birth, The Oct 1852 passenger manifest of the Maid of Erin gives her age as 15,
