22 Jul 1730 Andrew Wescott of York purchased a three-acre tract at Cape Neddick, York, from [his brother-in-law], Joseph Webber, for £28 on 22 July 1730; witnessed by William Wescott, the brother of Andrew who moved to Falmouth (York Co. Deeds 13:809-10).

21 January 1716 Margaret Tucker accused Andrew Wescott of fathering two bastard children. Margaret, a daughter of Nicholas and Jane Tucker of Kittery, was unwed in 1717 (will of Nicholas Tucker, dated 21 January 1716/7 and probated 2 April 1717, York Co. Probates 2:

4 Oct 1726 Margaret Tucker and Andrew Wescott were brought before Justice William Pepperell to answer for the crime of bastardy "[a]ppearing & being Sworn Continued Constant in Said Accusation face to face [but] not being Yet delivered w'th Said Child" York 6:23

3 Jan. 1727 Andrew Wescott "being Accused of being the father of a bastard Child begotton on the body of Margaret Tucker" (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, 4 Oct. 1726, 6:237; 3 Jan. 1727, 6:241).

Sep 1729 Andrew Wescott, house carpenter of York "formerly of Kittery," "reputed father of a bastard begotten on the body of Margaret Tucker"; the court ordered Andrew Wescott to pay support (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, 18 Sept. 1729).

4 Mar 1730 Andrew apparently failed to pay as a warrant was issued for his arrest on 4 March 1730 (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, Jan. 1730, 7:123).

Jul 1732 In the July 1732 court session, Andrew Wescott of York was again charged with the crime of "fathering a bastard child, having begotten on the body of Margaret Tucker of Kittery." (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, July 1732, 9:71 .)

On 19 May 1732, the selectmen of Kittery acknowledged receipt of £50 with a surety conditioned on four payments for the maintenance of "Hannah, daughter of Margaret Tucker of Kittery, then being 3 years and 19 days old." (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, 19

His wife Deborah had first an illegitimate son Joseph with Jacob Perkins.

Jacob Perkins subsequently denied the accusation, posted a bond of £50 support, paid court fees, and was "acquitted" (possibly only dismissed after posting the bond). (York VR, 33; York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, 7 Jan. 1717[/8];

On 1 April 1718, "Deborah Webber Junior" was brought before the court "for having a bastard child." She accused Jacob Perkins of York and Wells (born 1685) of fathering her son, Joseph Perkins, born at York on 8 February 1717[/8].

The court ordered that she "receive Ten Stripes on her naked back at the post & pay fees of Court 8s, or pay a fine of 30 shillings and fees . .. " (York Co. Ct. of Com. Pleas, 1 July 1718, 5:208)

"Deborah Wescoat, wife of Andrew Westcoat of York," is mentioned in her mother's will, dated 23 April 1737 and probated 19 May 1747 (York Co. Probates, 7:76--77).

She was living as late as 20 October 1760 at York when she co-signed a deed with her husband (York Co. Deeds 34:75). The place and date of her death are unknown.
